I would give all my fame for a pot of ale . . . (Henry V: Act 3, Scene 2; William Shakespeare) Luckily you need not give all your fame in order to enjoy this episode of You Say Toma(h)to on food and drink. This month, Jeremy and I discuss US and UK cuisine and the stereotypes … Continue reading Episode 01.06 – Brasserie Tomate – 6 June 2017

SPORTSBALL! SPORTSBALL! SPORTSBALL! ENDLESS SPORTSBALL! Heroes will be made in this month's episode of You Say Toma(h)to! As you might have guessed, this month, Jeremy and I discuss all things sports, but mainly the quirkiness of cricket and baseball.
You Say Toma(h)to – Episode 01.04 Recap
I had so much fun making this month's episode of You Say Toma(h)to. Stitching together the audio we had recorded all over Paris into a narrative helped me to relive our holiday and make it come alive in a way that a simple blog post never could.
You Say Toma(h)to – Episode 01.03 Recap
Jeremy and I talked for the better part of two months about how we could possibly deal with all that is going on in the world on our little travel podcast. The political situations in both our countries made it impossible to ignore and the escalation of events meant we would have to find a way to talk about fast-developing events in a way that a monthly podcast could handle. From Durham to Leicester to Cambridge
Welcome to the new home of An American in Durham. I started this blog three years ago to document my journey as an international student at Durham University. After I graduated with my master's degree I'm afraid I put a full stop at the end of my last post and didn't really look back. I tried to start a new blog about my experiences as a PhD student in the City of Leicester but I never quite stuck with it. After taking almost two years away from blogging, I'm finally ready to come back to share my new adventures with you.
