An American in Durham first emerged in 2013 as a way for me to record my adventures while earning my master’s degree at Durham University in the UK. Three years later I am a PhD student at the University of Leicester and I’m gearing up for my writing-up year while living in Cambridge.
This is a little corner of the interwebz that I have carved for myself. Here you will find my ruminations, ramblings, and venting sessions as well as my podcast (You Say Toma(h)to) and photo essays. I may also post some information on my PhD work as well since that’s an omnipresent part of my life.
If you like what you read please stick around and do let me know! If you really like what you read maybe share some of it with a friend or two.
So welcome, have a look around, and do come back.
